Jackman 'Favourite to Be Next 007'
The British public has chosen the man they want to see play the new James Bond – Australian actor Hugh Jackman. The vote is more good news for the 35-year-old Van Helsing star, who has already been tipped for the role by 007 himself. Pierce Brosnan is due to play the suave superspy in one more Bond movie next year. Hollywood names like Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor are thought to be contenders after Brosnan’s retirement.. But a poll for skymovies.com shows that the British public want an Australian to play the legendary secret agent. X-Men superhero Jackman, who was born to English parents, received 24% of the vote. Young Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom, who has also been tipped for the role, is second choice with 21% of the vote. He is followed by Irish hellraiser Farrell (16%), and King Arthur star Clive Owen (11%). The poll found that 10% would approve of singer Robbie Williams in the role, 7% Rupert Everett, 5% David Beckham, 4% Ioan Gruffudd, and 2% Colin Salmon.Around 8,000 people voted in the Sky Movies poll.

Orlando Bloom is a very very good actor but he is definitely not James Bond material. "You see every other Bond is compared after Me"
